Emergency numbers
Reporting it to the police
For a phone theft with no immediate danger, report to the police on 101 or online through the relevant force's website (for most of England and Wales the theft-reporting flow is on the local force site; in London use the Metropolitan Police online report). Ask for the crime reference number - you will need it for insurance and for the network to bar the handset. Dial 999 only if the theft is in progress or you are in danger.
Blocking your SIM
These are United Kingdom's carriers - use them if your number is local. If your SIM is from your home country, call your own carrier's lost-phone line instead; nobody here can block a foreign SIM.
