Emergency numbers
Reporting it to the police
Report a stolen phone to the local police service on its non-emergency line, or via its online reporting portal where offered (e.g. Toronto Police Service). Call your carrier first to suspend the line - carriers add eligible devices to Canada's national lost/stolen device blacklist so the phone is blocked across all Canadian networks.

Blocking your SIM
These are Canada's carriers - use them if your number is local. If your SIM is from your home country, call your own carrier's lost-phone line instead; nobody here can block a foreign SIM.

Getting back online
Rogers, Bell and Telus (and flanker brands like Fido, Virgin and Koodo) can issue a replacement eSIM through their apps or in-store, usually needing government ID. A visitor can instead buy a Canadian prepaid SIM/eSIM (Public Mobile, Lucky, chatr) or a travel eSIM online with just a passport and a Wi-Fi connection.
